Mustang Bullitt available to order from £47,000

The new Ford Mustang Bullitt is available to order now, with prices in the UK starting from £47,145. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the legendary Warner Bros. film, this special edition car has generated a buzz with car fans, who will undoubtedly be excited at the prospect of owning one.

First deliveries are expected from September. And, selfishly from us, we hope those first deliveries include a Ford press vehicle, so we can get behind the wheel and tell you what’s what.

The special edition Mustang Bullit gets an an uprated version of the naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 found in the standard car. Power is up by 43PS to deliver 459PS. It also features a number of unique design and specification additions paying homage to the film.

Mustang Bullitt sees the introduction of a unique metallic paint option, Dark Highland Green. The same as the original car from the film, it’s likely to be the most popular colour choice.

Bullitt design signatures can be found in the exterior front grille, splitter and rear Bullitt badge. Unique 19-inch high-gloss black alloy wheels offer an aggressive contrast. Red Brembo six-piston front brake calipers show that the Mustang Bullitt has stopping power to match that mighty V8.

Inside you are greeted to some wonderful, bucketed Recaro leather seats with green detailing, alongside a Bullitt instrument panel badge with unique chassis number; letting you know you are in something a little bit special. Green stitching and a unique white cue ball gear knob are a further nod to the movie car.

New rev-matching technology will deliver smoother downshifts as standard for new Mustang 5.0-litre V8 models with six-speed manual transmission, accompanied by a sporty “blip” – matching the engine rotation speed to that of the gear that is being selected for smooth, seamless gear-changes.

A new B&O PLAY audio system as standard delivers 1,000 watts of power through 12 speakers for a premium audio experience.
