VIDEO – Ford Focus RS: Rebirth of an icon – Episode 2

This is the inside story of the Rebirth of an Icon: The Ford Focus RS. Ford has commissioned a documentary to follow the team- from the design studio to the test track- as they try to revive a famous name. There is a worldwide love of Ford ‘RS’ vehicles, dating back to the Escort RS2000 of the late 1960’s, and this new Focus is tugging at the heartstrings. Here’s episode two of the documentary, which looks at the design phase. This is a serious performance car, and needs functioning aerodynamics. But the consumer trends also need satisfying, and the fans want aggressive styling. Warning: one Ford Focus RS was harmed in the making of this film.
