Read MoreSCORE – 48/50. I had a fantastic week with the Cupra. It looks fantastic. The Haldex AWD system is brilliant, and it’s a few grand cheaper than the equivalent Golf R. Being an estate it’s a hugely practical car, but with a small dose of lunacy thrown in for when you want a bit of fun.
Read MoreSCORE – 40/50. The cosmetic changes to the Subaru BRZ may be small, but they make a big difference. The engine still feels like it needs a little more power, as the performance is not quite as impressive as it should be. But in terms of fun, you can’t go wrong with the BRZ.
Read MoreSCORE – 46/50. At first I thought the Abarth 124 was a little over the top. But I really grew to like it. The madness of the colour scheme and loud sports exhaust are authentic Italian sports car traits. With a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine it manages to be fast, fun and economical all at once.
