Best car events to go to this summer

Car lovers, get your diaries out because this summer is full of events you’ll want to either be going to or be watching. Check out this round-up of the best car events coming up:

Formula One British Grand Prix

12 – 14 July 2019
If you haven’t got your tickets yet, then you’ve not got long left. At this three-day weekend event, you will see some of the best cars and drivers out on the track. Book a Pit Walk and explore the vehicles or grab yourself a seat in the grandstand.

Japfest

13 July 2019
If you like Japanese cars then head down to Donington in July for Japfest where you will see the Japfest Sprint Test, club displays and track time.

Festival of the Unexceptional

20 July 2019
Held at the Claydon Estate, Buckinghamshire, you will see everything from Marinas to Metros and Chevettes to Corollas. They will be lined up to compete in the Concours de l’Ordinaire, and the festival will be open to classic cars and light commercial vehicles built between 1966 and 1996, so if you’ve got one in your garage, get your vintage car transport sorted and head down there.

CarFest North

26 – 28 July 2019
Takes place at Bolesworth Castle, Cheshire. CarFest is a real car festival, with car exhibits and races alongside live music stages, food and drink venues and funfair rides. There’s a hill climb track show, car club displays, vintage village, and Sporting Bears Dream Rides exhibit. Plus watch the colorful ‘Car’-nival Parade. All the proceeds go to Children In Need too.

Silverstone Classic

26 – 28 July 2019
This three-day, non-stop historic motoring racing extravaganza, is a highlight of the motoring calendar for many. Once in, you will have free access to the paddocks and grandstands, with displays from more than 100 car clubs featuring more than 10,000 classic cars.

Ford Fair

4 August 2019
If Fords are your thing, then get yourself down to Silverstone for the Ford Fair, Europe’s biggest Ford event, with around 4,000 cars and 18,000 guests. You will find a mix of showroom-quality vehicles, sprint tests, and track time.

Ultimate Street Car

9-11 August 2019
Ultimate Street Car (USC) at Santa Pod Raceway is the ‘largest, loudest, hottest and fastest modified car festival in Europe.’ Here you will find drifting, stunt displays, drag racing, music, and tyre smoke.

CarFest South

23 – 25 August 2019
CarFest South is just like CarFest North, only this time at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire.

Salon Privé

5 – 8 September 2019
This is a motoring event which presents the most beautiful collection of supercars, hypercars, and classic cars, along with a luxury retail village and exquisite cuisine.

Concours of Elegance

6 – 8 September 2019
The Concours of Elegance 2019 will take place at Hampton Court Palace in September, with 60 of the most beautiful cars ever built lining up in the Fountain Gardens. Several car manufacturers will be attendance including Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Geely.

With so many exciting events happening this summer, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Let’s just hope we get some decent weather…
